Keep a flashlight in every room
Have spare blankets and batteries
Keep food, botteled water, and family with you
Stay in a room without windows. If you have no choice, board up windows with wood.
Coastal flooding may occur, so if you live near the Hudson like me, I suggest staying over at best friends house or if your not big on travel or get ready to late, board up yor house with wood and dont take any chances of leaving the house during the Hurricane-Snowstorm thing.
